about Eerie Leap

Eerie Leap is a data logger and dash platform for cars and other machines on CAN bus: units that read sensors and CAN messages, run your math and Lua on them, log in MDF4 and show the values on a gauge, with open-source firmware and an app, Gefera, to set it all up.

the project

A dash, a data logger, a box that adds sensors to the bus and a gateway between two buses are four products today, each with its own software. They do the same few things: read, compute, show, log and send.

Eerie Leap is one platform for all four. What a unit does is a configuration, made in an app and written to the unit, so that the same unit is a dash in one car and a logger in the next.

It is built in the open. The firmware is open source, and the build is written up as it goes: one update a month to the waitlist.
